When They Use It / How It's Used
When creating balanced teams and fair tournament brackets for activities, units, or events
The tool asks setup questions one at a time: grade level, class roster, generate teams or move to brackets, students with physical limitations or different ability levels to consider, and how many students per team
What It Delivers/Produces
Team Generation:
List of teams in table format showing team number and student first and last names
Accounts for odd numbers by including an extra student rather than fewer
Asks for edits based on student combinations
Bracket Generation: Four bracket types available:
Single Elimination – Best for time-limited classes and quick tournaments
Double Elimination – For competitive activities where students get a second chance
Round Robin – For smaller groups where everyone plays everyone
Pool Play plus Playoffs – For larger classes divided into pools with bracket winners advancing
Bracket features: clear text-based bracket trees, match numbers, a separate Results Tracking section, estimated time requirements, automatic bye assignments, and pool play suggestion for classes of 25 or more.
