Using the MagicSchool Connector

The MagicSchool Connector lets you save teaching content directly into your MagicSchool Resource Library, so you can keep classroom-ready materials organized and easy to reuse.

What the connector does

When enabled, the connector allows you to import teaching content into MagicSchool and save it as a new Resource Library item.

You can use it to save materials such as:

  • Lesson plans

  • Classroom activities

  • Draft instructional materials

  • Planning notes

  • Reusable teaching resources

Imported content is saved in your MagicSchool Resource Library the same way content is saved when you create or upload a resource directly in MagicSchool.

What the connector does not do

The connector does not allow the third-party application to view or use existing MagicSchool content, student or classroom data, connected school systems, or district knowledge.

It cannot:

  • Read, search, retrieve, or export your existing MagicSchool documents

  • Access your existing Resource Library items

  • Access student data, rosters, classroom data, LMS/SIS data, or district knowledge

  • Use Raina or MagicSchool tools to generate content

  • Pull information out of MagicSchool

The connector only saves new content that you choose to import into MagicSchool.

Who can use the connector

The connector is available only if your organization has enabled it.

If you do not see MagicSchool as an available connector, or if you are unable to connect, your organization may not have access enabled yet. Contact your MagicSchool administrator for help.

How to connect

  1. Open the connector from the third-party application.

  2. Select MagicSchool.

  3. Sign in to your MagicSchool account, if prompted.

  4. Review the permissions screen.

  5. Select Allow to connect, or Cancel if you do not want to continue.

After you allow access, you can save supported content directly into your MagicSchool Resource Library.

How to import content into MagicSchool

Once connected:

  1. Create or select the teaching content you want to save.

  2. Choose the option to send or import the content to MagicSchool.

  3. Confirm the title and content.

  4. Save the content.

MagicSchool will create a new Resource Library item that you can open, edit, and reuse inside MagicSchool.

Where imported content goes

Imported content is saved to your MagicSchool Resource Library.

From there, you can use it like other saved MagicSchool resources. You may be able to open, edit, organize, or reuse the resource depending on your account permissions and your organization’s settings.

Data use and privacy

Content you choose to import is stored in MagicSchool under MagicSchool’s normal retention and privacy policies, the same as if you saved the content manually.

MagicSchool does not use this connector to read or export your existing MagicSchool data.

The third-party application is not operated by MagicSchool. MagicSchool does not control how content is handled before you choose to import it into MagicSchool. Review the third-party application’s policies to understand how it handles your content.
