Features That Can Be Enabled/Disabled for Your Organization

Available in: Enterprise

Some MagicSchool features are not turned on by default and require your MagicSchool Customer Success Manager or our support team to enable them for your organization. The features below fall into that category.

To request any of these, an Org Admin should contact your CSM directly or reach out to [email protected].

📝 Learning Outcomes Module

The Learning Outcomes Module includes Class Writing Feedback and Quizzes. Within it, the following features can be individually enabled or disabled for your organization.

📝 Note: When your district purchases the Learning Outcomes Module add-on, MagicSchool will mark your organization as LOM Purchased, which unlocks unlimited access to Class Writing Feedback and Quizzes. Without the add-on, each teacher receives 3 Class Writing Feedback assignments and 3 Quizzes per year.

Class Writing Feedback

  • Score Breakdown — Include a rubric-based score breakdown in student feedback.

  • Glows & Grows — Include strength and growth feedback in student reports.

  • Next Steps — Include actionable next steps for students in feedback.

  • Google Drive — Allow teachers to import student submissions from Google Drive. (Enabled by default.)

  • OneDrive — Allow teachers to import student submissions from Microsoft OneDrive. Requires a Microsoft Global Administrator to grant consent on behalf of your organization. See Enable Class Writing Feedback using Microsoft OneDrive for setup steps.

  • Canvas — Allow teachers to import student submissions directly from Canvas.

  • Schoology — Allow teachers to import student submissions directly from Schoology.

  • PDF Download — Allow teachers to export approved student feedback as PDF files, individually or in bulk.

📤 Teacher/Student Export Student Threads

Controls whether teachers and/or students can export the full content of student conversation threads out of MagicSchool.

  • Teacher Export Student Threads — Allows teachers to export student chat history from Student Rooms.

  • Student Export Student Threads — Allows students to export their own chat history from Student Rooms.

📚 Knowledge

Allows your organization to upload approved district documents — such as pacing guides, handbooks, and curriculum frameworks — that MagicSchool can reference when generating content across supported tools and Raina. Enabled by default for organizations that have set it up; contact your CSM to configure.

🖼️ Image Generation

Allows educators to generate images directly in the follow-up chat of any teacher tool, as well as in Raina and Class Writing Feedback/Quiz Insights chats. Enabled by default for Enterprise organizations. If your organization would like it turned off — or turned back on — contact your CSM or support team.

🎓 MagicSchool for Students

Controls whether the student-facing side of MagicSchool (MagicStudent) is available to your organization. On by default. Org Admins can toggle it themselves from Tool Access in your admin settings, but your CSM can also manage this on your behalf.

🔬 MagicSchool Labs

Gives educators early access to experimental features and tools before they roll out to all users. Enabled by default for Plus and Enterprise accounts. Org Admins can toggle it off from Tool Access in your admin settings, or contact your CSM to manage this at the org level.

⚙️ MagicSchool MCP

Enables the MagicSchool Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector, which allows third-party applications to save teaching content directly into your organization's MagicSchool Resource Library. Off by default and must be enabled at the org level.

📝 Note: The MCP connector only allows content to be saved into MagicSchool. It cannot read, access, or export your existing MagicSchool content, student data, or district knowledge.

📬 How to Request a Feature

Requests to enable or disable features must come from an Org Admin. Org Admins can reach out to your MagicSchool Customer Success Manager directly, or contact us at [email protected].
