Group your favorite MagicSchool tools by theme, subject, or workflow — all in one place.

Available in: Free, Plus, and Enterprise

Collections let you group your teacher tools by theme, subject, or workflow to keep everything organized in one place.

📂 How to Access Collections

There are two ways to access your collections:

  • From the Home screen — your collections appear in the "Your Magic" section on your homepage. Click any collection name or "See all Collections" to browse them.

  • From All Tools — click "All Tools" in the left-hand sidebar. Your collections appear as filter options alongside Favorites and Custom. Click any collection name to view the tools inside it.

    📝 Note: Enterprise users will also see an Enterprise filter option.

⚙️ How to Create a Collection

There are two ways to get to the collection creation screen:

  • From Home: click "See all Collections" → then "Create" in the upper right corner.

  • From All Tools: click "All Tools" in the left-hand sidebar → then "Create collection" beneath the filter options.

Once you're on the creation screen:

  1. Give your collection a name.

  2. Click "Add tool" — search for or browse tools and select the ones you want to add.

  3. Click "Add Collection" to save.

⚙️ How to Manage a Collection

  1. Open the collection and click "Manage collection"

  2. Click "Manage tools"

    • Located beneath the existing filter options.

  3. Add or remove tools

  4. Click "Update" to save your changes

    • Search for or browse tools and select the ones you want to add.

From the Manage collection view you can also click the share icon to share the collection with colleagues, or the trash icon to delete the collection entirely.

🔗 How to Share a Collection

  1. Open the collection you want to share

  2. Click "Manage collection"

  3. Click the share icon

  4. Copy the link and send it to others

Collections are especially powerful for: PD leads and instructional coaches, grade-level or content teams, classroom teachers organizing weekly planning tools, and administrators managing tools by focus area.

💡 Tip: Use Collections to build ready-made toolkits for specific units, subjects, or PD sessions — then share the link with colleagues so they can add the same set of tools in one click.

Collections are especially powerful for:

  • PD leads and instructional coaches curating tools for sessions, like “New Teacher Toolkit”

  • Grade-level or content teams aligning on shared resources, such as “Quarter 1 Reading”

  • Classroom teachers organizing weekly planning tools, like “Monday Planning Essentials”

  • Administrators managing tools by focus area, for example “IEP Tools for Team Leads”
