The Worksheet Generator creates structured, print-ready worksheets directly inside MagicSchool. Choose from a library of templates, preview the layout before you generate, then edit and refine everything in one place without needing any external tools.
How it works
Step 1: Choose a template (or skip it)
When you open the Worksheet Generator, you can browse a library of pre-made templates and preview how each one looks before selecting it. Templates are designed for common classroom formats.
Available templates:
Graphic Organizer
Reading Summary
Practice
Assessment
Activity Sheet
If you'd rather not choose a template, the default option still produces a well-structured, print-ready worksheet. All editing, activity insertion, and export options are available either way.
Step 2: Generate your worksheet
Enter your prompt or content details and generate. Your worksheet comes back with a structured layout, including headers, sections, numbered questions, and answer lines already in place.
Step 3: Edit and refine in Studio Mode
After generating, your worksheet opens in Studio Mode, a split-screen editing environment built directly into MagicSchool.
Right panel: Your editable worksheet canvas. Modify text, rearrange sections, and insert activity blocks directly.
Left panel: An AI chat interface for prompt-based edits. Type instructions like "simplify the questions" or "add 3 more problems" and changes appear in your worksheet in real time.
Activity types
Inside Studio Mode, you can insert structured activity blocks into any section of your worksheet. Supported activity types include:
Fill in the Blanks
Multiple Choice Questions
Image/Word Match
Identify Shapes
Vocabulary Match
Open Response Questions
Additional activity types will be added over time.
Images and math equations
You can insert images and add math equations or formulas directly into the worksheet canvas inside Studio Mode.
Exporting and printing
When your worksheet is ready, you have several options for getting it out of MagicSchool:
Print directly from the interface
Export as PDF
Export to Google Docs
Export to Microsoft Word
When exporting or printing, you'll be prompted to either remove the answer key or place it on a separate page.
Saving your own templates
Custom template saving isn't available yet, but it's coming soon.
